The Oceanside School District is a leader in educational excellence and student achievement. We educate nearly 5,500 students in 10 schools, including seven elementary schools, an early childhood center, a middle school, a high school, and an alternative high school. Oceanside High School consistently ranks in the top 1.5% of high schools nationwide based on surveys conducted by leading news sources.

Together with teachers, parents, and the community, we offer students a rigorous education that promotes intellectual growth, interpersonal skills, appreciation for the arts, a healthy lifestyle, and respect for all living things. Our emphasis is on preparing our students to successfully lead full and productive lives as citizens in our democratic society and global community. We empower our students to think for themselves while respecting the viewpoints of others. We encourage them to approach problems with a creative and curious mindset, to exercise their rights and responsibilities as citizens, and to give back to the communities in which they live and work.
