Oceanside High School’s Counseling and English departments hosted the annual Senior Interview Day on Friday, September 19. The event prepares high school seniors for job and/or college interviews, complete with creating resumes, prepping for and participating in the interviews, and following up with a letter of thanks.
More than 30 volunteers, including OSD staff, Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital professionals, Molloy and Adelphi college reps, and members of the Oceanside community, pitched in to conduct 400 interview

The New York State English Council has selected Francesca Wasserman, Oceanside School District’s Director of English Language Arts and Libraries, K–12, as a 2025 Educator of Excellence, recognizing her leadership in advancing and enriching literacy education across the district’s K–12 programs.
