Dr. Nina Weisenreder has been given the Gil Trachtman Leadership Award by the New York Association of School Psychologists. She is the coordinator of the OHS Wellness Center and has been a school psychologist at OHS for over 20 years.

Oceanside School District is one of only three educational institutions, and the only school district in New York State, to win the Premier Community for Theatre Education award for outstanding commitment to providing theatre access and education to all students. The other two winners in New York State are high schools. The award is given by The Educational Theatre Association (EdTA)

Diane Provvido, the assistant superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction and Technology at the Oceanside School District, received the BOCES Education Partner Award at a special ceremony on April 30.
