Welcome back! As we embark on a new school year, I am filled with excitement and optimism about the incredible journey ahead. One of the greatest strengths of our community is our ability to work together, and this year, we are placing a special emphasis on the power of teamwork. 

Our theme for the 2024-25 school year is: Teamwork Makes the Dream Work. By fostering a strong partnership between home and school, we can ensure that our students thrive. Collaboration is not just a skill; it's the foundation of our success and a key component of your child's education. 

Creating our school calendar is a collaborative effort between our schools and PTAs to keep you informed and engaged. From welcome back events in September to celebrations in June, our calendar is packed with opportunities for you to connect and get involved. Regularly scheduled Board of Education meetings, PTA meetings and events, OSD Parent University Workshops, back-to-school nights, college planning presentations, and orientations are just a few ways you can stay connected with what's happening district-wide and in your child's school life. 

In addition to in-person opportunities, we offer several digital tools to keep you informed. Our Parent Portal, new ParentSquare communication platform, district website, periodic newsletters, and social media feeds are all designed to share important information about your child and our schools. 

I look forward to seeing you throughout the year as we come together to support our students. Whether it's at school performances, athletic events, concerts, dances, or science fairs, your presence and participation make a difference. 

September will be here before we know it, and I am eager to welcome our new and returning students. Together, let's make this school year extraordinary through the spirit of teamwork!
