Information and School Response Regarding Bed Bugs

Our health and safety expert from Nassau BOCES has provided us with information which you may find useful. It includes a School Response Flowchart which outlines exactly what schools should do in the event that a confirmed bed bug is found. We hope this flow chart will reassure you that in the few isolated incidents in which a bed bug was found in school, we took every step necessary to maintain a pest-free environment. In addition, we are attaching information in English and Spanish for parents to learn more about bed bugs and how to safely stop them. We remain committed to the health and well-being of our students and staff as our number one priority.
