Dear Oceanside Families and Community Members,

After an extremely challenging few years, please know that the exceptional team of educators at the Oceanside School District is dedicated to preserving what we all hold dearest: the health and well-being of our students, their families, and our school community as a whole, and the excellent education that our community is known for.

This school year, all of us need a little extra TLC. With mutual empathy, respect, trust that we are all doing our very best, patience with ourselves and one another, and a big helping of self-care,  we will proceed with our charge to prepare our students for bright futures.

I hope that you will take a moment to contemplate the joys of learning ahead: your children will participate in book talks,  they’ll design video games, websites, and applications through coding, makerspace and computer science, and will engage in business simulations through our High School Virtual Enterprise course...just to highlight a few aspects of an Oceanside education that your children can anticipate.

Fine and Performing Arts, Physical Education and Athletics, and Social Emotional Literacy will continue to be important pillars supporting academic learning and enriching students culturally, intellectually and emotionally. You can count on a wide and varied educational program for your children in these areas. Each year, we establish exciting goals and objectives for our curriculum and instruction. We continue to set, work toward, and exceed the goals that we create each year to make an already strong education even better.
