Food Service & Menus

picture of healthy foods in a school lunch

District lunch menus offer great variety and meet nutritional guidelines for children established by the Federal Government. There are more than 11 options for students to choose each day. Parents of children who have food allergies may request access to nutrition labels which are stored digitally, to identify items that their children need to avoid. Call Jennifer Kelly, Director of Cafeteria Operations, at 516-678-7548, for questions and concerns related to food allergies.

Breakfast and lunch are offered free of charge to all students under New York State Education Law, beginning in 2025-26. A la carte items such as snacks or drinks in addition to what comes with meals do have a charge and the price list is on our menus page. Parents/guardians may use My School Bucks, a secure, family-friendly system for online pre-payments. My SchoolBucks allows parents to deposit money into their child’s school meal plan, track purchases, and view their balance.

IMPORTANT - Please complete the application for free and reduced price school meals/milkAlthough school meals are now free under the new state law, schools still need to track and report the number of students who would have qualified for free or reduced-price meals in order to receive the appropriate funding.

The application can also help determine eligibility for other important programs such as SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) or Medicaid.
